Post-Publication Discussion

Buletin Ilmiah IMPAS supports constructive scholarly discussion after publication as part of its commitment to academic transparency, scientific integrity, and the continuous development of knowledge. Readers, authors, and other members of the scholarly community are encouraged to raise relevant comments, questions, critiques, or concerns regarding articles published in the journal.

Post-publication discussion may address the interpretation of research findings, methodological issues, data and analysis, theoretical arguments, references, potential errors, ethical concerns, or other matters that contribute to a better understanding and evaluation of the published work.

Submission of Comments and Concerns

Readers who wish to comment on or raise concerns about a published article may contact the Editorial Team of Buletin Ilmiah IMPAS through the journal's official communication channel.

Submissions should clearly identify the article concerned, including its title, author(s), and publication details, and provide a clear explanation of the issue being raised. Where appropriate, comments should be supported by relevant evidence, data, or scholarly references.

Post-publication comments should focus on scholarly issues and must be expressed in a professional and respectful manner. Personal attacks, defamatory statements, discriminatory remarks, or unsupported allegations will not be considered.

Editorial Assessment

The Editorial Team will conduct an initial assessment of comments or concerns received after publication. The journal may request additional information from the person raising the issue and, where appropriate, invite the author(s) of the published article to provide a response.

For matters requiring specialist assessment, the journal may consult members of the Editorial Board, independent reviewers, or other qualified experts.

The journal will seek to ensure that post-publication discussions are handled fairly and that relevant parties are given an appropriate opportunity to respond.

Author Response

When a substantive scholarly comment or concern is raised, the author(s) of the article may be invited to provide clarification, additional information, or a formal response.

Authors are expected to cooperate with reasonable requests from the Editorial Team concerning their published work and to provide supporting information when necessary to clarify the reliability or interpretation of their findings.

Corrections and Other Editorial Actions

Post-publication discussion does not automatically result in changes to a published article. If the discussion identifies an error or issue that materially affects the accuracy, interpretation, or integrity of the published record, Buletin Ilmiah IMPAS may take appropriate editorial action.

Depending on the nature and seriousness of the issue, such action may include publication of a correction, clarification, expression of concern, or retraction in accordance with the journal's relevant policies.

Minor differences in scholarly interpretation or academic opinion that do not affect the integrity of the published record will generally be addressed through scholarly discussion rather than correction or retraction.

Transparency and Scholarly Record

Where a post-publication discussion results in a formal correction or other editorial notice, the journal will seek to maintain a clear relationship between the original article and the subsequent notice so that readers can understand the status of the scholarly record.

Buletin Ilmiah IMPAS welcomes responsible post-publication engagement as an important mechanism for scholarly dialogue, correction, and continuous improvement of published research.
