FOREWORD
It is with great pleasure and pride that we present Volume 27, Issue 1, 2026 ,April Edition of the Buletin Ilmiah IMPAS. This edition marks another significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to advancing knowledge, fostering innovation, and addressing critical challenges within the agricultural sector.
Agriculture remains the backbone of global food security and rural economies. However, sustainable growth in this sector requires a holistic approach that bridges commercial viability, community education, and economic diversification. This issue brings together a collection of high-quality research papers that examine these intersections through four pivotal lenses:
- Farm Product Marketing: Exploring supply chain efficiencies, digital market access, value-addition strategies, and consumer behavior to enhance agribusiness competitiveness.
- Agricultural Extension Services: Highlighting the vital role of extension workers in technology transfer, capacity building, and equipping farmers with modern marketing skills.
- Agrotourism Development: Examining the potential of recreational and educational farming as an alternative revenue stream and a driver for rural revitalization.
- Farm Income and Welfare: Analyzing the economic determinants, risk management, and policies directly impacting the livelihoods and financial sustainability of farming households.
Together, these articles demonstrate how strong farm businesses, supported by effective extension networks and alternative revenue streams like agrotourism, work synergistically to elevate farm income and secure long-term rural prosperity.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the authors for contributing their valuable research to this issue. We also express our sincere appreciation to the editorial board members and peer reviewers for their rigorous dedication to maintaining the high scholarly standards of our journal.
We hope that the insights published in this issue will serve as a valuable reference for academics, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners striving to build a more resilient and sustainable agricultural future.
